Zack Snider, director of 300, Dawn of the Dead and next year’s Watchmen, has posted photos of some of the main characters on the Watchmen movie blog. Simply put, they are amazing. Much like he did with Frank Miller’s 300, Snider is sticking close to the original comic source material by Alan Moore (writer) and Dave Gibbons (artist), but he’s also creating a fresh, stylish and edgy look with the characters…something fans may or may not like.

No photos of Jon Osterman (Dr. Manhattan) who is blue and completely nude in the graphic novel. We’ll have to wait and see how they bring him into live action. The film is set to release on March 6, 2009
