Cryptic Studios, developer of the upcoming MMORPG Star Trek Online, has launched a “planet exploration contest” to get fans creatively involved in the game’s massive universe. They have posted an image of a strange, new world and it’s your job to come up with the most original story about whoever lives — or used to live — there.
Runners-up will receive a special forum title on their STO account and the first-place entry will earn that plus a guaranteed slot in the game’s closed beta. And, of course, the winner’s work will be showcased on startrekonline.com (and who knows, maybe in the game itself).
