LeVar Burton and Felicia Day
Phoenix Comicon organizers have announced the next big round of celebrity guests for Phoenix Comicon 2010, coming Memorial Day weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Leading the pack is LeVar Burton, host of Reading Rainbow, Geordi LaForge on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Kunta Kinte from Roots.
Burton joins fellow TNG alum and ubergeek Wil Wheaton, along with the previously announced Jonathan Frakes, who played USS Enterprise first officer Will Riker. Frakes’ wife, General Hospital star Genie Francis, is also a guest.
Other Hollywood stars announced: John Schneider (Smallville and The Dukes of Hazzard), actress and geek goddess Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and Buffy the Vampire Slayer), perennial guest and The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno, and Kevin Grazier, Ph.D., science adviser to the Syfy series Eureka and Battlestar Galactica.
New guests from the comics world include Tony Harris, Todd Nauck, Dexter Vines, Brian Haberlin, Philip Tan, Peter Gross, Mike Bullock and B. Clay Moore. Anime guests include Stephanie Sheh and Mike McFarland. For your musical enjoyment, “horror punk heartthrobs” Calabrese will be performing at the convention.
Phoenix Comicon 2010 will be May 27-30 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Through 2009 the con was at the Mesa Convention Center, but organizers and guests wanted a bigger venue.
Other previously announced guests include 2001: A Space Odyssey co-stars Gary Lockwood and Keir Dullea, New York Times best-selling sci-fi author John Scalzi (Old Man’s War) and famed costumer and cosplayer Tristen Citrine. Lockwood also appeared in the pilot episode of the original Star Trek, “Where No Man Has Gone Before.”

I’m feeling sic… Sort of.
levarburton For all of y’all in Phoenix and the surrounding environs… What’re you doing over the Memorial Day weekend? http://bit.ly/1pzWWw = message he left to all of his TWITTER FOLLERS…
I’m thinking YIPPIE!!!! SO COOL!!!!! The first time in years a Star-Trek & Sci-FI convention in my area of Syracuse, NY [there is a Phoenix apx 20 miles north of the city of Syracuse, NY
ONLY to discover it's in far-away Phoenix Arizona..... [crying my heart out = BIG Star-Trek fan & SCI-FI Fan]
PS = Idea for Eureka = Fargo pushes the pervibal button once agin BUT This one was sort of burried for good reasn and recently became visible after all that has been happening in Eureka’s lab building getting SHAKEN ALOT….
Fargo decides to really explore the building and in the deepest part of the building’s cellar discovers the button of all buttons and decides to give it a HUGE THRUST PUSH….
What does it do?
Someone in Eureka’s past history had a brilliant idea against a OOPS NUCLEAR ATTACK… If all else fails just push the button and all of Eureka drops some 10,000 feet into the bottom of an old cave [of course it was made bigger to hold ALL OF EUREKA]
CAN YOU IMAGINE SOME FRIGHTENED FACES?
Comming to your small screen sometime soon [i hope]
