Microsoft held their press conference today and capitalized on the recent news that the Xbox 360 will get a price drop ($299 for the 20-gigabyte hard drive). Warner Bros. has created a new website to promote Batman: Gotham Knight, the direct-to-DVD (and Blu-ray) anime. According to the website, the DVD will feature “six standalone chapters, each with stylish art from some of Japan’s greatest anime visionaries, weaved together into a larger story that follows Batman through his transition from beginner to The Dark Knight.” The website includes an amazing trailer, production videos, a gallery of photos, wallpapers and more. Batman: Gotham Knight will hit stores on July 8 and The Dark Knight will hit theaters on July 18. I can’t wait! We all knew it was coming (or at least hoped), but Capcom has confirmed Street Fighter IV will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and even the PC. Finally, I’m going to the San Diego Comic-Con. A mecca for fanboys and pop-culture geeks, the convention is one of the biggest events in the world with about 125,000 attendees. It’s sold out again this year, but I’m one of those lucky fools who gets to go July 24-27. With so many creators and fans of comics, movies, TV, anime and video games, all coming to one place to promote new ideas and share their passions, it will surely be a blast.
One of the biggest video game publicity events is happening this week at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles. That means lots of gaming news, updates and a sick amount of eye candy.
