Capcom this week revealed its promised big “surprise”: Lost Planet 2 for the Xbox 360. The public announcement came today following an exclusive announcement Monday for Xbox LIVE members. The new game will feature four-player cooperative play, new interlinked episodes and deep customization. Capcom today confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is in development for three different gaming platforms: the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows. Telltale Press, makers of episodic games like Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, Sam & Max and the forthcoming Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures, has announced it is expanding its offerings to the Xbox LIVE Arcade platform. The Wallace & Gromit game, based on the claymation characters of the shorts from Aardman Animations (Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep) and previously announced for the PC, will be the developer’s first game available on the service. Xbox 360 owners will be gunning down virus-infected crazies before their PlayStation 3 brethren when Capcom unleashes a free demo for Resident Evil 5 online for one week beginning Jan. 26. The survival horror sequel hits stores March 13 for the Xbox and PS3. The two-level demo will include two-player co-op play with voice chat and new characters, weapons and environments. Ubisoft has announced Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, a prequel to the action shooter Call of Juarez. The game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows later this year. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood transports players from a ravaged Civil War-era Georgia to the Aztec ruins of Mexico where players take on the personas of the McCall brothers “in an intense storyline full of greed, lust and lawlessness.” Read the full announcement after the jump. Available the same day RE5 ships to store shelves — Friday the 13th of March — Xbox 360 fans will be able to pick up the bundle featuring an exclusive red Xbox 360 from select retailers.
