I’d quit ‘Lost’ for that

July 8th, 2009, 3:11 pm by Chris "KeL" Adams

bkv-mergeAcclaimed comics scribe Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Ex Machina) has left his writing / producing position on ABC’s ‘Lost.’ BKV has been working on the show for the past two and a half seasons. The reasons for his departure haven’t been announced. Though the numerous movies he has in development may have something to do with it. Executive producer Damon Lindelof has merely said “Unfortunately, he has left for greener pastures.”

G4’s Olivia Munn has a theory, suggesting on her blog that BKV left the show to become her best friend. This was actually jokingly (probably?) confirmed by BKV in an e-mail to Comic Book Resources, his only communication on the matter. If you’re going to leave a hit television show on the brink of its final season, Ms. Munn certainly is a good reason. Whatever the reason, hopefully it’ll mean more comics from the always exceptional Vaughan.

Just when it seemed ‘Iron Man 2′ couldn’t get any better …

If there’s one thing geeks like, it’s two things geeks like combined into one, see Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and pretty much every super-hero team-up in comics. Now we’ve got another to be excited about: Nerd goddess and Attack of the Show co-host, Olivia Munn has announced on her blog that she’ll be joining the cast of 2010’s Iron Man 2.

Due to contractual obligations, it remains unclear what her role will be in the film. Regardless of the size of her spot in the movie, it will certainly give fans one more reason to impatiently await next summer.

Fanboy freakout Friday at Comic-Con

July 25th, 2008, 10:47 pm by Scott Kirchhofer

San Diego Comic Con 2008, He-Man
BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!!!

Friday at the San Diego Comic-Con seemed busier than previous days. The long lines and cramped isles made it tough to get around, but I still managed to see some great panels, successfully hunt down a rare graphic novel and get an autograph from my all-time favorite artist. Sweet! Oh yeah, and a bunch of people wore their costumes, making it the freakiest day of the convention and the most fun. I’ve got pictures!

I swear I’m going to stop writing about how great BioShock is…soon. First I have to tell you how it and other video games did on X-Play’s annual video game awards last night. As a new viewer, I fell in love with G4 this year mainly because of Attack of The Show and X-Play. They are great shows for people just like me, and if you’re reading this blog, probably you too. It was a fantastic year for video games, especially if you’re an Xbox 360 owner. No offense to folks with other consoles, but there is just no comparison to the wealth of really good games offered on the 360 this year, and this is proven by all of the video game awards those titles are getting. G4 brings the show to Phoenix

December 6th, 2007, 12:20 pm by Jayson Peters

Attack of the Show, G4’s hawesome daily interactive discussion of technology, the Internet and more, will broadcast live from one lucky Phoenician’s home today.

Look for it at 8 p.m. on G4 (formerly Tech TV). It’s Channel 158 on Cox Digital Cable.

The folks at AOTS have been making a quick trip across the country, filming from viewers’ humble abodes - and making their hosts perform embarrassing stunts before lavishing them with gifts such as iPods.
