America’s newest sex symbol: Marge Simpson?

October 9th, 2009, 4:25 pm by Chris "KeL" Adams

marge-pbPlayboy has announced that their cover model for theĀ November issue will be Marge Simpson. Not only will she grace the cover, she’ll also have a two-page centerfold spread. The magazine coyly won’t say how much will be revealed by the blue-haired mother of three. All they’re saying is that is that it will be “very, very racy.”

This was followed by a dedication to Jackson, with an image of the character he voiced in the aforementioned episode.

Remember this?

Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker rocked arcades and home video game consoles in 1990. The game, a tie-in to the Moonwalker film, features Michael going after kidnapped children with the help of Bubbles the chimp (who gave him the ability to turn into a robot) and the magical power of dance, baby.

It’s one of the first games I can remember having the odd but cool 3/4 perspective that was also used in the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game.

Is television more valuable online?

June 25th, 2009, 8:24 pm by Chris "KeL" Adams

Online broadcasters Hulu and TV.com are charging more for commercials online than during traditional network showings. Television advertisers usually pay $20 to $40 per thousand viewers. Hulu charges $60 per thousand viewers for a commercial during online broadcasts of “The Simpsons“. It makes sense given the rise of home digital video recorders that allow viewers to easily skip over all advertising. Online viewers are much more of a captive audience and thus more likely to actually watch the commercial.
